Disney Cruise Cost Guide

How much does a Disney cruise cost? The honest answer.

Published price ranges as of November 2026, what the fare covers, what costs extra, and the five things that move the price most. A straight read from a travel agent who plans Disney cruises.

The Short Answer

Five things set the price.

A Disney cruise carries a premium over most family cruise lines, and the price swings widely from one sailing to the next. As of November 2026, NerdWallet's published ranges run about $1,300 to $1,900 per person for a three to five night sailing in an inside stateroom, and about $2,500 to $4,000 or more per person for seven nights.

Those are published market figures, not my prices, and not a quote. What your family would actually pay comes down to five things: the ship, the length, the stateroom, the season, and the size of your family. Below I walk through each one the way I do for my clients.

What a Disney cruise costs, as of November 2026

These ranges come from NerdWallet's Disney cruise price guide, updated October 8, 2026. They are published market figures for the fare. Gratuities, drinks, and shore excursions come on top, and I cover those further down.

Three to five nights in the Bahamas, the Caribbean, or Bermuda, in an inside stateroom: about $1,300 to $1,900 per person.

Seven nights in the Caribbean or Alaska: about $2,500 to $4,000 or more per person.

Ten nights or more in Europe or across the Atlantic: about $3,000 to $8,000 or more per person.

The lowest fares: around $1,300 to $1,500 for two guests in an inside stateroom on a three-night sailing.

NerdWallet also notes that an all-out trip can easily reach five figures for a family of four. None of these figures are my prices. Disney sets the fare, and it changes with the date and the stateroom you pick.

What the fare covers

A Disney cruise fare includes more than most people expect, which offsets some of the sticker shock. NerdWallet's list covers rotational dining in the main restaurants, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and juice, room service, the Broadway-caliber shows, character meet-and-greets, pools and deck parties, the kids' clubs, and a day at Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay on most Bahamas and Caribbean sailings.

I cover the ships and the two private islands on my Disney Cruise Line page.

What costs extra

Gratuities. As of November 2026, Disney Cruise Line recommends $16 per guest per night, children included, and $27.25 per guest per night in Concierge staterooms, according to Disney's planDisney site. For a family of four on a seven-night sailing in a standard stateroom, that comes to $448. You can prepay them, or they are added to your stateroom's onboard account once the cruise begins.

Adults-only dining. Palo and Enchanté run about $40 to $75 per person, according to NerdWallet.

Port Adventures. Disney's shore excursions range from about $50 to $300 or more per person, also according to NerdWallet.

Everything else. Alcoholic drinks, specialty coffee, the spa, Wi-Fi, and onboard photos all cost extra, so they belong in the budget before you sail.

The five things that move the price

The ship

Disney's fleet runs from the classic Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, through the Dream class, to the Wish class: Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny, plus Disney Adventure, which sails from Singapore. NerdWallet notes that the Wish-class ships cost more, while Disney Magic and Disney Wonder typically cost less and feel more intimate. The right ship depends on your kids' ages and the itinerary you want.

The length

Longer sailings cost more. A short Bahamas sailing is the easiest way in, a week in the Caribbean or Alaska moves you into the next range up, and ten nights or more in Europe sits at the top of the ranges above.

The stateroom

Staterooms run from inside to oceanview, verandah, and Concierge. NerdWallet puts a verandah at about 30 to 50 percent more than an inside or oceanview stateroom. Concierge adds a dedicated team, a lounge, and priority everything, and it sits at the top of the price range. I run that math with you before you choose.

The season

Summer break and holiday weeks are typically the most expensive times to sail. NerdWallet points to late April through May and September through early November as shoulder weeks that often offer the best value. Those fall weeks sit inside the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs June through November, so travel insurance is worth a look for those dates.

Your family size

Every guest adds a fare and a nightly gratuity, and the size of your group decides which staterooms fit. A larger family may need a bigger stateroom or a second one, and that choice changes the math.

How to get the real number for your family

The ranges above are a starting point, not a quote. Disney Cruise Line opens sailings the furthest in advance of any line and popular dates sell out fast, so timing matters as much as the ship you pick.

When you are ready, tell me who is sailing, when you would like to go, and the kind of stateroom you picture. I will price the sailings that fit, show you the trade-offs between ships and staterooms, and handle the booking from there, at no added cost.
